From Tuesday 5th April
- Government vaccine mandate for the sale yards withdrawn
- A vaccine pass not required to enter the sale yards
- Face masks are still encouraged when indoors
- Face masks are not required in outdoor settings
To slow the spread of the virus, and continue to help protect you and your community, it is important to keep up the healthy habits we know:
- Regularly wash and thoroughly dry your hands or use hand sanitizer
- Sneeze and cough into your elbow
- Keep your distance from people you do not know
- If you have a cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and get a test
NAIT Requirements
Taupo Saleyards is an accredited NAIT entity so we will scan and record the movement of your cattle.
However, all cattle must be NAIT tagged and all vendors must have their NAIT number.
Untagged cattle will either be sent home or tagged with a saleyards approved NAIT tag at a maximum cost of $25 per head tagged.
Please note that all intending purchasers must be NAIT registered prior to the sale and must have a NAIT number when registering at the sale.
We are accredited NAIT providers and can assist by registering on your behalf for a small fee.
The sale yards and/or the operating partners are not liable if any sale is unable to proceed as booked due to Covid restrictions or for any associated costs/loss.
